Alisa has loved music and singing ever since she can remember. She began writing poetry when she was fifteen and two years ago, she merged the two, to write her first song.

Using garage band, she learned to mix loops and put together basic songs, resulting in a wide variety of styles and genres. She wrote everything from folk to dance music as she explored new ideas and concepts.

In September of 2008, Alisa attended the CCMAs in Winnipeg and was inspired to try a more commercial approach with her writing. She learned basic song structure, did some co-writing and attended seminars to learn more about the art and the business that goes along with it.

In February of 2009 Alisa took one of her songs, "Love at First Sight" to John Thiel at Horizon music and had a scratch demo done. She loved hearing her song take on a life of its own, and over the next few months, she brought in several other songs to do the same.

Six months later, she has completed her first four song demo with plans to begin work on a full length album in the fall.
